Lisa is CEO and Founder of MAXIMAI Investment Partners. She leads a team of professionals committed to providing tailored solutions for global clients, as well as to business development. Lisa advises clients on generational planning and global portfolio allocation with specific emphasis on core alternative investment strategies.

She also directs the firm’s efforts to promote the involvement of next generation clients in educational seminars and internships and she fosters their integration in family wealth discussions and planning.

Lisa has been providing wealth management advice to ultra-high-net worth clients for the last 30 years. In 1992, she joined Merrill Lynch, where she spearheaded the founding of the MaximAI Wealth Management Group.

Highly qualified, Lisa has consistently achieved distinguished recognition such as her inclusion in Merrill’s prestigious Charles E. Merrill Circle of Excellence. She also earned the special designation of Private Wealth Specialist for Latin America.

Lisa is committed to her family and lives in Coral Gables, Florida, with her husband, Derek, and their son, Max. Her hobbies include boating, travel and learning about different cultures. She is an avid reader and dedicated to mentoring teens. For the last 15 years Lisa has worked closely with The Centro Mater Foundation, which supports five centers in South Florida that offer childcare and after school programs for children from economically disadvantaged families. As a Centro Mater Alum, she is passionate about giving back. She has been a Board member, event sponsor, volunteer and remains highly committed..

Thomas J. (Jim) Butler, III

Jim has worked for more than 40 years in international financial services; he is highly experienced and well equipped to help MAXIMAI’s clients and their families build financial security. As a Senior Vice President at Merrill Lynch International, Jim gained significant expertise in wealth management and international markets; he worked at Merrill for 28 years in both New York City and Miami. He has served as an advisor to ultra-high-net worth individuals, drawing on his experience in international banking and as a Vice President in Treasury Management at Marine Midland Bank in New York City.

Jim was born and raised in Panama and came to the United States to earn both his Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics and his M.B.A. from the University of Tulsa.

Jim resides in Miami with his wife, Joanne, and is the proud father of a daughter, Joey Leigh. When not spending time with his family, he enjoys jazz concerts, playing guitar and aerobics. Jim is a member of the Alexis de Tocqueville Society of the United Way, a leading charity in the United States.

Daniella is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and a member of the CFA Institute. She provides ongoing analysis and monitoring of client portfolios and assists with manager selection, analysis and risk management.

As Chief Operating Officer of MAXIMAI Investment Partners, she also oversees the day-to-day operational logistics and strategic client situations.

Daniella was previously a Senior Financial Analyst at Merrill Lynch where she was part of the team’s Investment Committee providing customized solutions for clients.

Daniella is a graduate of the Florida Atlantic University, from which she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, with a double major in Finance and Economics. Daniella resides in Miami with her husband, Daniel. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and Pilates.

Alejandro Behrens

Alejandro focuses his expertise on fulfilling the needs of the firm’s ultra-high-net-worth clients. As Managing Director of MAXIMAI, Alejandro leads business development. He works closely with clients and their families to tailor strategies and meet their financial goals. He helps them understand and navigate their financial choices, putting together efficient and objective plans. He also takes part in constructing investment strategies designed to preserve wealth.

As a millennial, Alejandro deepens relationships with the next generation of clients and helps family members understand and implement wealth transfer strategies. He brings a fresh perspective on investment solutions to the new generations of investors.

With six years of experience at Merrill Lynch, Alejandro’s last role was team Financial Advisor. Alejandro received a B.A. from Villanova University where he pursued a double major in Economics and Political Science. He also earned an M.B.A. from Georgetown University in 2015. Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Alejandro currently resides in Miami. He is a Member of the Board of Future Matters, which creates awareness among young professionals for the underprivileged children in the community. Outside the office, Alejandro enjoys adventure travel, movies, tennis and skiing.

Fernando Erhart joins MAXIMAI Investment Partners with more than 35 years of experience in the wealth management industry. Fernando held Senior executive positions with Merrill Lynch in Argentina, Brazil, Panama and New York. He served as President of Merrill Lynch Argentina and was responsible for the High and Ultra-High-Net-Worth markets in the region.

Fernando was also the market leader for Central America and Head of Merrill Lynch Private Client in Brazil. Additionally, he was responsible for the development and deployment of the Global Financial Advisory Center, which required coverage of the New York, London, Singapore, and Buenos Aires offices. More recently, Fernando was hired by Citibank as External Senior Advisor to evaluate and propose a strategy to re-position their Private Banking Business in the southern cone. Fernando has also been involved in the private sector and real estate development projects in and around Argentina. As Senior Vice-President of MAXIMAI, he will be working to develop MAXIMAI’s wealth management business in the southern cone.

Fernando studied Agricultural Technology in the Universidad Catolica of Argentina and has participated in the Merrill Lynch Executive Leadership program and the securities industry institute program at Wharton University. He resides in Argentina and Uruguay, has five children and enjoys traveling and rugby.

Joseph Dursi

Joseph Dursi is responsible for overseeing Dynasty's investment platforms, managing relationships with third party due diligence and research partners, working closely with network firms to deliver institutional quality investment solutions to their clients, and continuing to enhance Dynasty's award winning Outsourced CIO offering. He was most recently the Head of Investment Solutions for Deutsche Bank Wealth Management in the Americas, responsible for identifying and creating unique investment solutions for ultra-high-net-worth clients.

Previously, Mr. Dursi served as the Head of Portfolio Consulting at Barclays Wealth Americas where he and his team were responsible for developing tactical investment solutions through asset allocation modeling and product selection for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and endowments/foundations. Mr. Dursi joined Barclays in September 2008 as part of the organization's acquisition of Lehman Brothers' Private Investment Management business in the Americas.

Mr. Dursi holds a BBA, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University, where he was a designated Stern Scholar. He lives in Rockville Centre, New York with his wife and two children and is an avid sports fan.

Mr. Riera has over 25 years of experience in the international financial industry, particularly in the international wealth management area, including domestic and international broker/dealers, commercial and investment banks and investment advisory firms

His experience includes various senior positions in risk management, compliance, operations and service support areas in different countries (Venezuela, Panama, USA and Switzerland) working for some of the largest and most successful broker-dealers and private banks in the world, including Merrill Lynch, Wachovia, and First Clearing Corporation, among others. Juan Carlos has served as Chief Compliance Officer, Regional Compliance Director for Latin America, Head of AML, Compliance & Service Manager.

Mr. Riera graduated from Universidad Catolica Andres Bello (UCAB) Caracas – Venezuela and completed different management and law programs at the University of Richmond, Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Administracion (IESA) and Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Mr. Riera is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and a Certified Professional in Anti-Money Laundering (CP/AML) by the Florida International Banking Association (FIBA). He is fluent in English and Spanish.

Carlos works closely with our firm’s clients to continue building solid relationships. He plays an essential role in the continuous function of the team’s operations such as addressing client inquiries, managing asset transfers, coordinating client meetings, and assisting in the daily procedures of the firm.

Carlos was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. A University of Colorado graduate in Economics, Carlos comes from a tenure as an executive assistant for an international trading firm. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and is an avid soccer player.

Javier graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida International University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. While at FIU, Javier’s curriculum focused on the field of finance, earning him certifications in corporate and private banking. Javier also participated in the university’s student managed investment fund assisting in the selection of securities being added to the school’s portfolio.

Born in Cuba, Javier’s responsibilities cover a broad set of duties. First and foremost is account reporting and documentation for the benefit of our clients. Using the resources provided by our strategic partners, Javier works closely with our advisers to provide the accurate and vital information used to give our customers a unique experience. In addition to technological and analytical roles, he also assists the COO in day to day operations to maintain uninterrupted service.
